What I Believe Is…
Recently I had to answer some questions about things I believe. I thought it would be useful to share here -- and I encourage you to do your own version.
WHAT I BELIEVE…
About how life really works is…
• Most people are good
• There are universal truths that most people share (we all want to contribute; we all want to love, be loved to be belong; we all would choose clean water, fresh food, etc. if we could; we all want our families to be safe; etc)
About the way I create a life that matters is…
• Living intentionally based on my values is fulfilling (where I shop, what I buy, what I spend time on, etc.)
• Connection with others brings meaning to my life
The secrets to success are…
• Do something you are passionate about
• Put the work in
• Surround yourself with good people
• 80/20 rule (good enough)
• High trust in others saves huge amounts of time
• I make most decisions very quickly by asking one expert or someone else who has researched a topic and just trusting their recommendation and/or experience.
About the forces of the Universe or Nature…
• The universe is loving and will provide if we let it; the universe will guide us to the best version of ourselves if we let it;
• Energies align when we allow them
• Nature will balance eventually
About my own power is…
• I can figure out most things if I try
• My curiosity is one of my superpowers
About any aspect of life…
• Everything is interconnected
About spirituality is…
• Radical wholeness of mind, body, heart, spirit, emotions, earth, surroundings
About my physical body is…
• Mostly space between atoms and mostly energy
• A good way to ground me from overthinking
About my own philosophy of life is…
