What I Learned in the Pool
You probably remember that I'm training for a triathlon. In December, I could barely swim one length of the pool without gasping for air.
I felt like I was drowning—literally. Every attempt left me winded, frustrated, and needing a break. It was discouraging, to say the least.
Fast forward a few months, and I can now swim over 90 lengths without stopping. (I stopped at 90 because training was done—but honestly, I could have kept going.)
That transformation didn’t happen because of talent or some magical breakthrough. It happened because I trained—consistently. I train every day with about 4 hours a week dedicated to swimming. Week after week.
And here’s the wild part: it turns out that with a bit of time, focused effort, and intentional practice, you can go from feeling like you’re drowning… to feeling strong, steady, and confident.
It sounds obvious, but when you experience that kind of change firsthand, it feels like unlocking a superpower.
And it made me wonder—what else is possible?
So let me ask you:
What’s the thing you’ve always wanted to learn—but haven’t started yet?
How badly do you want it?
And the big one: are you actually willing to train?
Hit reply—I’d genuinely love to hear what you're working on.
